For clients involved in the environment and energy sectors, it’s critical to have a champion who can cut through complex and partisan issues to find workable, practical solutions. Enter Kathleen. At SIGNAL, she’s focused on working with Congress and federal Agencies to achieve meaningful legislative and regulatory outcomes, and helping her clients define and drive the policy dialogue on climate change and sustainability.
As an Executive Vice President, Kathleen’s knowledge and reach stems back to her work as Senior Policy Advisor on the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee. There, she served as then-Senator John Kerry’s (D-MA) lead staffer on climate change issues, and directed efforts to craft comprehensive, bipartisan climate change legislation. Kathleen also developed and implemented the Committee’s agenda related to international climate change negotiations and international energy policy priorities.
Prior to joining the Committee, Kathleen worked as a Legislative Assistant in Senator Kerry’s personal office, where she oversaw domestic and international environment, energy, and natural resources concerns.
Kathleen holds an undergraduate degree in environmental science from Harvard College and a master’s degree from the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies. She’s as comfortable on the Hill as she is at the shore, where you’re likely to find her with her husband and two young children.
