Issue: Transportation Security
After a spate of bombings in Europe throughout the summer of 2016, a focus on the transportation sector, TSA, and transportation entities here in the U.S. grew ever more focused on passenger safety in unsecured areas of transportation terminals.
Working together with a municipal transportation client, SIGNAL helped create a program of record to allow federal support of the development of new transportation security regimes to meet the emerging threats, and develop new prototypes to change our entire security regime.
SIGNAL assisted at every level of the project, from drafting statutory language for the new program to working with the primary stakeholders in Congress and the Administration to ensure creation of the program on behalf of the client. The program was successfully implemented within a critically short timeframe and ultimately created a path forward for new funding opportunities.
